Forest’s 1-0 win over the Owls at Hillsborough back in August sent the Reds to the top of the Championship.
But fast forward four months and Stuart Pearce’s side find themselves nine points adrift of the play-off pack.
But Owls head coach Stuart Gray has no doubt that Forest will recapture their early season form, though is more focused on the Owls maintaining their good run in the league.
In the build-up to Saturday’s trip to The City Ground, Gray said: “It shows how quickly things can change in football but they have got a good squad.
“I’m sure it won’t take long for it to click.
“But I’m more concerned about us. We’re six points off the play-offs, we have a great chance to go there this weekend and pick up a win.
“There is still a long way to go but we are in touching distance.
“All the hard work we have done in the last month or so can’t be thrown away.
“This league is wide open and you just need that consistency to really kick on and give yourself a fighting chance.”
