Lewis McGugan has returned to parent club Watford.

The midfielder was on loan with Wednesday and has now reached the end of that temporary deal.

McGugan joined the Owls in mid-November and made seven appearances for the club.

Head coach Stuart Gray said: “Lewis has gone back to Watford as his loan is at an end and he will consider his options.

“He needs to speak to their manager and we will remain in dialogue with Watford.”
