Owls defender Matt Young stored another 90 minutes under his belt for League 2 side Carlisle in the Cumbrians’ 3-1 win away at Wimbledon.
Having made his professional debut one week prior at home to Cambridge, Young was able to enjoy his first senior victory in Saturday’s trip to Kingsmeadow Stadium.
It was a much-needed victory for Keith Curle’s side, who have moved one point clear of the drop zone.
The former Southampton stopper, who was delighted with the travelling triumph, said: “What a win that was! Incredible team spirit and commitment! Huge shout out to the fans that travelled down as well! Amazing support!”
Young will remain with the Cumbrians until 10 February.
