With two goals in four games, Chris Maguire is keen to kick on and keep his crown as the Owls’ top scorer.
Maguire hit ten goals for Wednesday last season, all of which came in the second half of the campaign.
After smashing home at The City Ground last weekend, the forward is on the goal trail.
“You ask any striker and they will tell you that they want to finish as the club’s top-scorer,” he said.
“I did that last season and I want to add more goals to my game and keep that title.
“I’m feeling like I am starting to play the way I did last season. Hopefully the goals can keep coming and my performances will carry on improving.”
He added: “Hopefully I can kick on in the second half of the season. I am confident that if I keep getting chances I will put them away.
“But the main thing is not who scores, it’s about the team winning.”
