Sheffield Wednesday defender Matt Young has joined League Two side Carlisle on an emergency loan deal.
The 20-year-old will remain with the Cumbrians until 10 February.
The former Southampton stopper has impressed for the Owls Under-21s and been named on the bench this season in Stuart Gray’s first team squad.
Young was included in the matchday squad for Wednesday’s home clash with Bournemouth in November and most recently for the FA Cup-tie with Manchester City.
Following the 5-0 win over Crewe on Monday, the Owls’ Development Squad sit top of the division and the right back has played a key role in that success.
