Opposition view: Focus on the league

16 January 2015

Bolton boss Neil Lennon has urged his side to focus fully on the Championship clash with Wednesday this weekend and not be distracted by the FA Cup.

The Trotters visit Hillsborough on Saturday a week before facing Premiership giants Liverpool in the cup at Anfield.

And Lennon said: ““We’ve got to concentrate on the league. The Liverpool game is a bonus and something we can all look forward to, but we really need to get back to winning ways as soon as we can in the league so that will be the focus.”

Lennon is expecting a tough test in S6 and acknowledges the sterling work of Stuart Gray at the helm.

He added: “Stuart’s done a great job there and there is a big improvement on last season.

“Sheffield Wednesday are a hard-working, functional team and are playing very well.

“I’ve been really impressed with what he is doing. He’s built a good team and is doing a very good job at a big club with huge potential.”
