Sheffield Wednesday matchday charity support

5 January 2015

Sheffield Wednesday have so far this season supported 13 charities through special matchday partnerships.

Organisations supported so far include; The Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, Weston Park Cancer Hospital Charity, The Eden Dora Trust and The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Thousands of pounds have been raised through bucket collections at the game with hundreds more expected to be raised during the remainder of the season.

The club aims to be as accommodating as possible on matchday by giving the charities great exposure. This not only means the organisation can raise funds but also increase awareness of what they do.

Sheffield Wednesday would like to thank Owls fans for their continued generosity to the charities bucket collections and their support on matchday.

Other charities that have benefited include: Sheffield Futures, The White Rose Epilepsy Group, Support Dogs, Cardiac Risk in the Young, The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme and Kick It Out.

The club now look forward to welcoming more charities during the rest of the season.
