Wednesday fans and players celebrate on social media

Sheffield Wednesday fans have shown their appreciation to the team’s performance on Saturday via social media and have posted their thoughts in their hundreds. 

More than 250,000 Owls fans are active across various social media platforms and after the winning performance against Nottingham Forest, hundreds of followers posted their words of congratulations to the players and to head coach Stuart Gray.

As well as the club’s official channels, this season has seen a growth in social media activity from fans and players. The interaction between all parties has added to the togetherness and spirit the club has experienced for the duration of the season.

Hundreds of comments, likes, shares and retweets galvanised this weekend after the Owls’ victory over Nottingham Forest.

New for 2015 the Owls Instagram account will be encouraging fans to take pictures during matchday with the best one being crowned ‘Fan Pic of the Day’ – another way for fans to interact with the club.
