- Owls face Bolton on Saturday
- Glenn Loovens up against Neil Lennon
- Two were together at Celtic
Glenn Loovens comes up against a familiar face on Saturday when the Owls host Bolton in the Championship.
The Wednesday skipper will lead out his team at Hillsborough and cast an eye across the white line to current Trotters manager Neil Lennon, under whom Loovens played at Celtic.
Lennon initially joined the Scottish giants as a coach with Gordon Strachan before eventually taking the hot seat.
Loovens said: “He is a good guy who worked really well with the players at Celtic.
“He was the assistant manager first and you could tell he had the qualities to become a manager.
“He did very well at Celtic, he knows his stuff and has that ruthless streak that managers need.
“He has clearly done a very good job with Bolton and made them hard to beat – they haven’t lost many games since Neil came in.
“But we are concentrating on ourselves, we are in good form, and we want another win to continue the run.”
