Community Programme set for Owls in the Park

1 July 2015

The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme will be hosting more activities than ever at this year’s Owls in the Park including bubble football and a huge inflatable pitch.

The Community Programme will be hosting activities including exhibition football matches, tennis taster activities, streetgames sessions, a skills zone and an ‘It’s A Knockout’ tournament.

The event, organised in association with the Community Programme, is the largest community day in the North of Sheffield with thousands of people being expected to attend.

As well as holding their own activities, the Community Programme works alongside the club to drive the event by organising charity involvement, external organisations and other entertainment acts.

Matt Bray, Social Inclusion Manager, said: “This year’s Owls in the Park really does have a jam packed schedule with something for all the family. The Community Programme is excited to host new activities to this year’s event including bubble football!

“We’ve also got more charities than ever before involved so hopefully we’ll raise more money this year as well. It looks like a great day and we hope to see as many Owls there as possible!”

Owls in the Park takes place on Sunday 19 July from 11:00am – 5:00pm at Hillsborough Park.
