Community Programme to host ‘It’s A Knockout’ at fun day

The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme has teamed up with a leading Sheffield charity to get Owls fans active at this year’s Owls in the Park.

The club’s Community Programme have joined Cavendish Cancer Care to host an ‘It’s A Knockout’ competition that all the family can get involved in.

To register your interest on the day, head over to the Cavendish Care stall (located below the stage area). Heats are due to start at 1:30pm with finals at around 4pm.

The challenge will involve teams of four taking part in a series of fun challenges against other teams.

The Community Programme regularly work with Cavendish Care and have supported the charity with various events and fundraising appeals.

Victoria Wood, Fundraiser at Cavendish Care, said: “We really value our partnership with the Community Programme and events like this are a great example of how we work together. We rely on donations to keep our charity open and supporting local families affected by cancer.”

The Community Programme will also be hosting other activities including bubble football, football exhibitions and a skills zone.

Owls in the Park takes place on Sunday 19 July in Hillsborough Park, 11:00 – 5:30pm.
