Sheffield Wednesday are pleased to announce that more supporters will be able to enjoy a range of cold draught beers and ciders at Hillsborough next season, courtesy of the club’s Official Beer Partner Heineken UK.
Market leading brands Foster’s, John Smith’s and Strongbow will now be available on draught in the North Stand, using a new fast-pour system which ensures drinks can be served at twice the speed of standard dispense equipment.
As part of the club’s plan to improve the stadium experience, SWFC have worked closely with Heineken UK and their technical service team at Inn-serve to install a fast-flow draught pour system throughout the North Stand and for visiting supporters in the West Stand later on in the season.
The fast-pour tap system will enable a perfect pint to be served between eight and nine seconds, allowing fans to enjoy chilled beer and cider with the aim of reduced queuing time on the concourses.
Over 2,000 metres of pipework connecting the cellar to the taps will be in place at Hillsborough and this state-of the-art technology will mean thousands of supporters can be swiftly served during busy periods on matchday.

“Taking into account feedback from our supporters, we are delighted to be able to offer more fans the opportunity to enjoy draught beer with Heineken UK’s fast-pour equipment.
“Last season we introduced Yorkshire Tea to the stadium and saw a very positive response from our fans and we hope that the introduction of Heineken brands at Hillsborough will do the same. “
