Owls in the Park 2015!

18 July 2015

Sheffield Wednesday’s annual fun day Owls in the Park will welcome thousands of supporters this Sunday, who will experience a host of activities to suit everyone in the family.

The new-look Owls squad will be on hand for interviews, signings and selfies, together with newly-appointed head coach Carlos Carvalhal and chairman Dejphon Chansiri.

The club’s brand new away strip for 2015/16 will also be on sale for the first time.

Other activities include live music, a funfair, magician, catering and fun games at various stalls around the park. The FA Cup will also be on display throughout the day, with mascots, Ozzie and Barney on hand to make special appearances too!

The players will head down in groups of three to the club marquee, prior to which they will be interviewed on the main stage by our broadcast partners Radio Sheffield, and in the park from approximately 12.30pm throughout the afternoon until 4:30pm.

Elsewhere, Owls in the Park 2015 will also host one of the country’s biggest Blue Brothers tribute acts, who will play two 45 minutes sets on the live music stage. And off the stage, check out the top of the range BMW 318d saloon up for grabs in the special prize draw when the Owls take on Bristol Citty on 8 August for the new season curtain-raiser!

The Owls Megastore and Ticket Office will be open from 10.00am through to 4.00pm.

The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme, the club’s charitable arm, will host various activities, interactive sessions and community stalls – plus Bubble Football and an ‘It’s A Knockout’ challenge.

Local children’s hospice, Bluebell Wood - the Community Programme’s official charity partner - will be holding an official bucket collection in a bid to raise much-needed funds and awareness.

In addition, The Royal Society for the Blind, Support Dogs, St. Luke’s and the Eden Dora Trust will be joining a raft of additional charities, including the Football League’s official charity partner Prostate Cancer UK, The British Legion and Diabetes UK.

The Wednesdayite Car Park will be offering free parking from 9.30am to 6.00pm, while Pay & Display parking is available with street parking around the ground.

Owls in the Park 2015 is free to attend and takes place on Sunday 19 July in Hillsborough Park, from 11.00am until 5:30pm.

See you there!
