The Owls have boosted their ranks with the addition of talented Spanish midfielder Alex Lopez from Celta Vigo, subject to international clearance.
The 27-year-old has signed a one-year loan deal at Hillsborough.
Classy midfielder Lopez began his career with hometown club Racing Ferrol after graduating through the youth system and made his debut in May 2005.
Lopez joined Spanish side SDO Val to gain senior experience before returning to Racing the following year.
After a brief spell with Naron, La Liga side Celta Vigo acquired his services in June 2009 and the schemer has since gone from strength to strength.
Highly rated Lopez has posted 164 appearances in the Spanish top tier, chipping in with 22 goals along the way.
At international level, Lopez has been capped at Under-16 and Under-17 level for Spain.
