After weeks of hard work laying the foundations for the brand new state of the art Desso GrassMaster surface, the first shoots of grass are now visible at Hillsborough.
Computer-driven Desso machines are now busy injecting green synthetic fibres into the surface, with which the natural grass roots will intertwine to create a level and firm playing field.
The above gallery shows the recent S6 developments as the pitch begins to take shape for coming campaign which will kick-off with a home clash against Bristol City on Saturday 8 August, one week after the Owls face St Mirren in a friendly on home soil.
