Midfielder Kieran Lee has extended his stay at Hillsborough, signing a new two-year contract with the Owls.
The 26-year-old joined Wednesday from Oldham in 2012 and has since made a total of 89 appearances.
Lee enjoyed his most productive season in front of goal during the 2014/15 campaign and netted six times for Wednesday in 34 appearances.
Combined with his vision in the engine room, the addition of goals to Lee’s game saw the schemer become a mainstay and vital cog in the Owls’ midfield.
One of Lee’s biggest contributions last term came in dramatic circumstances during the Yorkshire derby with Rotherham at The New York Stadium, where the midfield man calmly slotted home deep in added time to seal a 3-2 win for Wednesday.
Lee will now remain with the Owls until the summer of 2017.
