Owls supporter Chris Heeley is this week representing Sheffield Wednesday in the London to Amsterdam cycle challenge for the Football League’s official charity partner – Prostate Cancer UK.
The London to Amsterdam cycle challenge takes place on Friday 12 June and Chris will be representing Wednesday for the second successive year.
Last year, the 49-year-old North Stand Season Ticket holder raised an impressive £2,350 and is aiming to surpass that total in 2015.
He said: “The training for the ride is now done, having finished with a 100 mile ride this weekend. It's hard work but you have to put the effort in or you'll struggle to do the ride.
“I'm looking forward to it now the hard work is done. I'd like to raise as much money as possible to help find more reliable tests and treatments so that more men survive prostate cancer - the most common cancer in men.
“I know some United lads that are doing it and would ask all Wednesdayites to help me beat their total by donating."
