The Owls’ Championship clash with Reading originally scheduled for Tuesday 18 August has been put back 24 hours.
The game will now take place one day later at Hillsborough on Wednesday 19 August (7.45pm).
The change in date is due to Sky Sports broadcasting live matches on Thursday evenings during the new season.
Leeds face Doncaster in the Capital One Cup on Thursday 13 August and in line with Football League rules, the Whites requested their league fixture scheduled two days later at Reading be put back 24 hours, which in turn has led to the Owls’ contest moving from the Tuesday to Wednesday.
