Liam Palmer’s season was frustratingly cut short back in March after the defender suffered an ankle injury during the home clash with Fulham.
But three months on and the 23-year-old’s rehabilitation is going strong and Palmer is looking forward to 1 July, when the players return for pre-season.
But until that time, the hard work will continue for the Owls academy product, who aims to report back at full fitness.
He said: “I should be fine for July 1. It’s holding up really well so there shouldn’t be any more issues with it.
“I’ve been working hard at Middlewood Road and it’s paid off.
“All the lads get a fitness programme for the summer – mine has just been a bit more intensive.”
