  • Stevie May scores seventh goal for Wednesday
  • Striker aiming to regain his starting shirt
  • Owls back in action v Wolves on Tuesday

Stevie May is working hard to regain his place in the Owls’ starting line-up and did himself the world of good with a wonderfully taken goal against Fulham on Saturday.

The Scot came off the bench to replace the injured Will Keane and glanced home his header soon after the restart.

Having also netted in the recent victory over Millwall at The Den, the striker is focused on making the most of every opportunity.

He said: “My focus now is to get back in the starting line-up and if I can come off the bench and score like I have done a couple of times now, then I’m on the right lines.

“It’s always nice to get the goal; three points would have made it much sweeter but the game is done now and we have to take the positives.

“We’ve got to move on and focus on Tuesday, we have a tough game but we’ll go again.”

The goal was May’s seventh for the Owls during his maiden campaign in the Championship.

Assessing his time so far south of the border, he added:

“I feel I could have scored a lot more but you’ve just got to keep working hard.

“You go through spells where everything goes in but you can also go through spells where it’s the reverse.”
