Determined Dejan

24 March 2015

Lee Bullen has praised the determination of defender Dejan Kelhar to make a return to action.

The 30-year-old sustained a cruciate knee ligament injury early in the season and faced a long road to recovery.

But Kelhar is making excellent progress and came through another Development Squad fixture on Monday – a 2-0 win over Charlton.

Bullen said: “The clean sheet is so important, one for the goalkeeper and two for Lewis Buxton and Dejan Kelhar for their confidence.

“They both stored 90 minutes under their belt along with that clean sheet.

“Dejan is one of the most genuine and honest professionals you will meet. With his attitude towards the game and the type of personality he has, he is a fantastic lad.

“To suffer the injury he got was such a heartbreaker for him.

“It’s magical to see him back on the training ground, back in the games and getting involved.

“With Glenn and Kamil out, Kelhar is slowly getting back and pushing to step out in the blue and white shirt before the end of the season.”
