Owls duo support Comic Relief

12 March 2015

Two Sheffield Wednesday players have supported local car dealership Burrows Sheffield in their bid to raise funds for national charity, Comic Relief.

Owls stars Tom Lees and Joe Mattock went along to the Burrows’ Toyota showroom on Penistone Road in Sheffield to meet staff members who are taking part in a cycle challenge to raise money for Comic Relief.

Toyota, Red Nose Day’s official partner, are raising money for Comic Relief and nationally are aiming to raise 1 million pounds for the charity.

The money raised by Red Nose Day assists a wide range of initiatives, focussed on creating lasting change for people and communities facing tough challenges in the UK and Africa.

Joe and Tom even got on the bike themselves to help the Burrows team in Toyota Sheffield’s cycle challenge!

Wednesday player Tom Lees said: “It was good fun going down to the Toyota garage and it’s always good to support charitable causes, especially like Comic Relief that helps so many people. The staff have done really well to get as far as they have and I wish them luck in completing the challenge.”
