Stuart Gray has revealed that Liam Palmer is set to miss the remainder of the campaign.
Palmer was stretchered off during last Saturday’s draw with Fulham and has since had his injured ankle scanned.
Gray said: “Liam saw a specialist in London and it’s good news in that he doesn’t need surgery.
“But he will probably miss the rest of the season and that’s a blow for the boy.”
Will Keane also picked up an ankle strain in the Cottagers clash and the Owls are waiting on the loanee striker’s scan results.
Gray added: “Manchester United have had Will scanned and we are waiting to hear the news on that.”
