QPR edge out Wednesday

20 March 2015

The Owls’ Under-21s went down to QPR by the odd goal in three in West London.

Goals right at the start and the last saw the hosts emerge triumphant.

Freddy Tracey hit the target for Wednesday in between.

Coach Neil Thompson said: “QPR played a strong, physical side, including the likes of Niko Kranjcar, so it was a big test for our players.

“But after conceding a goal after just 35 seconds, we responded well and got ourselves back into the game.

“It seemed as though the game was heading for a draw but QPR scored in the last minute and it was hard on our lads, who deserved something from the game.”

Owls: Dawson, Murray, Kelhar (Clarke 60), Beatson, Floro, Croasdale, Sanders, Penny, Meadows, Brown 70), Stobbs, Tracey, (Stachini 80)
