Stevie May ready for action

16 March 2015

The games continue to come thick and fast for Wednesday with a trip to Wolves coming up on Tuesday.

Following on from the 1-1 draw with Fulham, Owls’ goalscorer Stevie May believes the entire squad will have a part to play in the final push.

The Owls have been unfortunate on the injury front during March and the last three fixtures have seen head coach Stuart Gray forced into making first half substitutions.

Wednesday lost Liam Palmer and Will Keane before the break on Saturday against Fulham, leaving the duo a doubt for the Molineux trip.

May said: “You never want to see players get injured but it happens in football, I’ve been at a lot of clubs where that has happened.

“We all wish Keane and Palmer a speedy recovery and hopefully we will see them back soon.

“It’s getting to that stage of the season where you have to keep as many people fit and ready for action as you can.

“I’ve seen from being on the bench in the last few weeks the number of knocks we’ve picked up early in games.

“But we have a lot of good players in the squad and everyone will have a part to play, I’m sure. It’s important we rack up as many points as we can.”
