A true Wednesday hero!

7 May 2015

The annual Football League Awards were held recently at a glittering ceremony in London.

Clubs up and down the league ladder were represented for an occasion now firmly ensconced as a key date for the diary in the football world.

One gong of particular significance was the Club Hero award, which recognised the unsung heroes that populate every football club in the land.

Each club was asked to submit its nominee, who would go on to receive a specially engraved trophy.

For the Owls, historian Keith Howard took the plaudits – and head coach Stuart Gray was on hand to make the presentation.

Keith has just completed his 30th year of service on the official matchday programme, a remarkable feat for anyone – not least someone who this year reached his 80th birthday!

Keith has also served the club diligently for many years through his official club historian status, offering his wealth of knowledge on all things Wednesday.

Congratulations Keith, you are our official Club Hero and we couldn’t have a more fitting candidate.
