Charities to attend Owls in the Park

19 May 2015

Sheffield Wednesday’s annual family community day, Owls in the Park is set to be the biggest in the event’s history and can announce more charities than ever will be attending the day.

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, St. Luke's Hospice, The Royal Society for the Blind and Support Dogs are just a selection of Sheffield-based charities that will be in attendance at the family event.

The club is extremely proud to facilitate the charities in their fundraising appeals and hope that as much money as possible is raised on the day.

Sheffield Unit Air Cadets, Sheffield Futures and Cavendish Care will be attending as well as the Sheffield Eagles foundation, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines and Diabetes UK Sheffield.

Around 20 charities are expected at the event that attracts more than 15,000 people throughout the day.

The charities will be holding fundraising activities from lucky dips to obstacle courses to raffles to Support Dogs holding the largest dog show in South Yorkshire!

Last year’s event raised in excess of £5,000 so we hope this year, we can not only match that but raise even more for the beneficiaries.

Owls in the Park 2015 is free to attend and takes place on Sunday 19 July, starting at 11.00am and finishing at 5:30pm.

See you there!
