And during a crucial clash at The Weston Homes Community Stadium, the hosts scored an 82nd winner to secure survival – and send the Lilywhites into the play-offs.
Wednesday played Bristol City most recently in the 2012/13 campaign, while MK last locked league horns with the Owls the previous term.
