Following on from Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Fernando Forestieri has reflected on what he described as an unbelievable month.
The Owls have remained undefeated for ten games, a run that stretches back to mid-September.
And Wednesday have certainly been put to the test in that period.
After victories over Preston, Rotherham and Forest in the Championship, as well as the 3-0 Capital One Cup win over Arsenal in October, Forestieri reflected:
“I can’t believe this last month. We have played so good against Rotherham, Arsenal and now today.
“I’m very happy for Sheffield Wednesday.
“We showed everyone that we are together and we play with heart. The Forest game is good because it’s one goal and three points.”
The 25-year-old has scored four goals in eight games since his arrival at the club and he hopes for much more to come.
He added: “I hope I can go on to score more goals for this cub. We need to carry on working hard for each other.
“I have to thank my team mates because if they didn’t work so hard, then I wouldn’t have scored that goal.
“We all help each other and we are doing it well.”
