Carlos Carvalhal may not have been included in the running to win the Manager of the Month award for October but says he already has the main prize.
It was a strong month for the Owls that saw the unbeaten run continue, three victories in the Championship and a stunning League Cup win over Arsenal, although cup runs are not considered as part of the equation.
“Do I want to be coach of the month? No. I want to be coach of the day to my players, staff and to my supporters of Sheffield Wednesday," he said.
“This is my prize to be the coach of them. This is what I want. I don’t want individual prizes.
“I don’t agree also with individual prizes in football because it is a collective. The prize in football must be to the teams.
“To me, I want to be the coach of my players, my staff and Sheffield Wednesday fans. This is most important.”
Wednesday head to Charlton on Saturday, aiming to extend their run of resistance to 12 games unbeaten and continue their climb up the Championship.
