Three years has passed since thousands of Owls fans came together to celebrate ‘Semedo Day’.
Wednesdayites paid tribute to the popular midfield man, donning Semedo masks, international shirts and flags, before endless tones of ‘You’ll never get past Semedo’ rang around The City Ground as Wednesday faced Nottingham Forest in the Championship.
Semedo joined the Owls in July 2011 and played a pivotal role in the club’s promotion from League One in 2011/12.
He was subsequently voted Player of the Year and League One PFA Fans' Player of the Year that season.
Semedo has made a total of 149 appearances for the Owls in all competitions.
