Following the tragic events in Paris last week, and following consultation with Counter Terrorism officers from South Yorkshire Police, the club has reviewed its ground regulation policy for matchdays and non-matchdays.
Consequently, existing prohibited items will not, under any circumstances, be allowed into the stadium for all future events.
Sheffield Wednesday will now adopt a policy of increased searching of all bags, back-packs and holdalls and due to the heightened security status, ground regulations relative to these items will be strictly enforced.
For clarification, all containers, including flasks and tupperware type items will no longer be allowed into the stadium.
Please help us by not bringing these items to Hillsborough when you visit.
