Charity zip wire across Hillsborough Stadium!

6 November 2015

The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme is set to host a unique experience for fans – a giant zip wire across Hillsborough Stadium!

The zip wire challenge has been organised to benefit newly formed charity, the Lee Rigby Foundation, and is taking place throughout the day on Saturday 28 November.

The Lee Rigby Foundation has been set up in memory of soldier Fusilier Lee Rigby who tragically died in 2013. Sheffield Wednesday regularly work with the charity to give support to both the charity and also to Lee’s Mum Lyn who set up the charity.

The zip wire is £20 to enter and participants are encouraged to raise £200 in sponsorship funds with 50 per cent of the money going to the Lee Rigby Foundation. Prizes will be awarded to those who raise the most money.

This unique experience is an ideal way to see Hillsborough from a whole new angle at the same time as raising money for a worthwhile charity.
