Wednesday goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith has been named in Gareth Southgate’s England Under-21 squad for the European qualifiers with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Switzerland.
The Three Lions meet up at St George’s Park on Sunday to kick off their preparations for the two games before travelling to Sarajevo ahead of the clash with Bosnia-Herzegovina on Thursday 12 November.
England return home to take on Switzerland at Brighton’s Amex Stadium the following Monday, 16 November.
Wildsmith earned his maiden call-up to the England Under-21s earlier this season having impressed for the Owls when called upon and keeps his spot after graduating from the Under-20s.
