Enhanced safety measures in place at Stoke

24 November 2015

The Owls travel to Stoke City next Tuesday in the quarter finals of the Capital One Cup and the Potters have requested we relay the following message:

Supporters should be aware that measures have been put in place at the Britannia Stadium for all events involving Stoke City in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks in Paris.

Extensive searches will be in operation on matchdays and spectators are asked to arrive in good time to avoid delays in entering the Britannia Stadium.

For your convenience we encourage supporters not to bring bulky items with them as storage is not available at the stadium and it will allow searches to be completed as efficiently as possible.

Please do not leave personal items unattended at any time as this is likely to cause disruption to the event.

We request that you co-operate with the instructions of stewards and police officers to ensure that search protocols can be completed.

All the measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of all visitors to the Britannia Stadium and we thank you for your co-operation.
