Lucas Joao was named in the starting line-up for Portugal in their international friendly at Luxembourg on Tuesday evening.
It was the Owls striker’s first start for the senior Portuguese squad.
Joao played 80 minutes of Portugal’s 2-0 win, where goals from André André and Nani settled the contest.
The 22-year-old earned his first cap just three days prior in his country's 1-0 defeat to Russia.
Since joining Wednesday in July 2015, Joao has scored four goals for the club with his most recent coming in the 3-0 victory over Arsenal in the Capital One Cup.
