Wednesday’s impressive unbeaten stretch of 11 games has seen the club post six clean sheets in that period.
Four shutouts have come in the last five games and it is those statistics that have particularly pleased the ever-present Tom Lees.
On top of that, the partnership of Lees and Loovens has now yielded 17 clean sheets from 36 appearances in total.
“It’s weird; it just clicks,” Lees said. “Glenn is a good talker and great positionally but I wouldn’t say there is any real secret.
“We just read each other’s games quite well and help the boys either side of us.
“Now we are consistently keeping clean sheets, we are all working hard in the back five.
“The midfield are playing a vital role in protecting us. We have got some good protection. It is nice that we look hard to beat because we have goals going forward.”
