Lucas Joao has won his first senior Portugal cap.
The Owls striker came off the bench in the 72nd minute during Portugal’s international friendly with Russia in Krasnodar on Saturday.
The hosts ran out 1-0 winners as Roman Shirokov struck in the final minute.
Joao - who has represented Portugal at Under-20 and Under-21 level on five occasions - is in contention to face Luxembourg away from home on Tuesday 17 November.
