The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme are proud to be working with national charity – Blind Veterans UK to help increase awareness and funds for the charity.
The Community Programme is working with the organisation to host a special festive run – a Santa Dash!
The run is taking place in Endcliffe Park in Sheffield on Sunday 29 November and will see people dress up in Santa costumes to help raise money for the charity. The event also promises Christmas music, activities and a fancy dress competition for children.
The 5k race starts at 10:00am and participants are asked to arrive at 9:30am to start warming up and prepare for the run.
It costs just £10 to enter and to receive your free Santa suit!
Children under 10 can also enter the mini fun run and are encouraged to wear fancy dress.
All runners will receive a race pack prior to the event which will contain your running number, a race information leaflet and sponsorship form. Santa costumes will be available for collection on the day.
Anyone who registers after Monday 23 November will be able to pick up their pack from the registration desk on the morning of the race from 9.00 am.
Volunteers are also required to help with registration, directing runners around the route and handing out goody bags to the finishers.
