Point for 21s at Forest

2 November 2015

The Owls’ Under-21s drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest in the Midlands on Monday afternoon.

A game of few chances was punctuated by one goal apiece, with Ryan Meadows on target for the Owls after the hosts went into the lead in the second half.

Earlier on, Wednesday dominated the opening exchanges but almost fell behind when Forest went close on the counter.

Cameron Dawson made a crucial double save to keep the score goalless at half time but the Tricky Trees stole the advantage after the break.

The Owls then went on the front foot and Connor Kirby saw a side-footed shot fly just over the crossbar before Croasdale did haul Wednesdsy level.

And they might have taken the points near the end when Matt Penney appeared to be felled inside the penalty area but the referee gave a free kick on the edge of the box.

Owls: Dawson, Booker, Wildin, Croasdale, Lachman, Beatson, Stobbs (Lee 37), Meadows, Tracey (Kirby 72), Clarke, Penney
