The power of our fans

3 November 2015

Carlos Carvalhal has called upon the fans to show their full power this evening at Hillsborough.

Wednesday host league leaders Brighton, who are undefeated in the Sky Bet Championship this season.

The head coach believes the supporters can make the difference on the night and he said:

“This is the moment we need a lot of our supporters, a lot of our supporters.

“It is a period when our players need help from outside to give energy. To balance the game, I think the energy from the fans can be decisive.

“The players need the fans to push them and this is a good time to show the power of our fans.”

While Wednesday have won their last three games and remained unbeaten in ten, Carlos says there is still plenty of room for improvement.

An encouraging assessment indeed, given the current form of the Owls and he continued:

“We are in a good way, we are still in a process. We’re still building a team, you can’t do these kind of things in just three months.

“I think we can improve the team, we can play better.

“Tonight, we will be strong in the game with full power, we are playing the team in first place and the reality is, they are the strongest team in this moment.”
