Togetherness is the key

12 November 2015

Atdhe Nuhiu says everyone is playing their part in the Owls’ dressing room.

Prior to the break, Wednesday have lost just once in 12 games and the striker says this is a result of the togetherness in the camp.

The Owls sit four points outside of the play-offs and will resume their Sky Bet Championship campaign with a home clash against Huddersfield on Saturday week.

Nuhiu said: “Everybody has his part to play and his qualities. At the moment, everyone is carrying out their role very well.

“This is big reason why we have been performing.

“I think with the games that have gone so far – obviously the individual performances have been there – but it is the team performance and the group being together that has been the big factor.

“It would be unfair to single players out because everybody gives his own part.”

Wednesday face one of their busiest periods of the season after the resumption, with seven games in December, including a Capital One Cup quarter final clash with Stoke.

Before then, the Owls have games against Huddersfield and Blackburn to negotiate and Nuhiu is keen to get back to the action.

He added: “We have done well so far but there is more to come. We can’t stop because we have achieved nothing, at the end of the season when we have the bill for what we have done, that’s when it matters.”
