Two strong teams

3 November 2015

Carlos Carvalhal said the Owls and the Seagulls cancelled each other out after Tuesday's 0-0 draw at Hillsborough.

Both sides kept their respective unbeaten runs going after a stalemate that saw few chances for either team.

Carvalhal said: “Both teams were very strong and a draw was a fair result.

“Brighton started better than us, but in the second half I feel we were the better side as we fought right until the end.

“I think it’s important that we keep getting results against the top teams in the division, so even thought we played to win, I will take the one point.”

Wednesday’s unbeaten run now stretches to 11 matches in all competitions and Carvalhal is keen to keep it going.

The head coach added: “Eleven games is very good, especially when we have played Arsenal in between league matches.

“I had a similar run when I managed Vitória Setúbal and I look back to that time when we are going unbeaten now.

“We are in a good way and are looking very strong against good teams, but all we can focus on is the next game against Charlton.”
