A Taste of Thailand for Owls Fans

16 October 2015

Sheffield Wednesday will be showcasing a selection of Thai mooncakes at this weekend’s match against Hull City and Owls fans will be able to sample and purchase from the exclusive range supplied from The Bakery Hut, Thailand.

The traditional Thai mooncakes, available in six flavours, will be on sale in the Owls Megastore and the corporate hospitality boxes tomorrow.

The traditional cake consists of a soft pastry with a sweet and dense filling. Typical mooncakes are round pastries and are traditionally eaten during the Chinese mid-Autumn festival. The festival is for lunar worship and moon watching, when mooncakes are regarded as an indispensable delicacy.

Mooncakes are offered between friends or on family gatherings while celebrating the festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the four most important Chinese festivals.

The Thai delicacy will be presented to Owls fans in a special gift bag as a treat for yourself or as gift for someone else.
