Arsene Wenger to make changes for Owls clash

27 October 2015

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will make changes to his squad this evening for the cup clash at Hillsborough.

The Gunners boss has confirmed that Joel Campbell and Calum Chambers will feature.

Campbell has made three appearances for Arsenal this season, two in the Champions League and in their Capital One Cup win over Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

Meanwhile, Chambers has made two Premier League appearances against Liverpool and Chelsea and featured in the previous round of tonight’s competition against Spurs.

Wenger said: “We want the players who come in to the team to show they are able to make the squad successful, and do absolutely everything to help us win.

“That’s the job of a footballer. When you get the chance, you have to be ready.

“Calum can play in midfield, he can play central defender. I think in the future he will certainly be a central defender, but he can also play right back.

“I’m confident that Calum will be a successful England player.

“I like Joel Campbell very much for two reasons. One is that he has outstanding individual quality, but he is also a team player.

“He works very hard for the team. I’m convinced he will get a chance here and that he will take it.”

Elsewhere, Wenger has already confirmed that experienced goalkeeper Petr Cech will start and he added:

"Nobody else is coming back. Arteta will not be fit. Ramsey, Wilshere, Welbeck and Rosicky of course are all out too.

“Ospina is still out too, so Cech will certainly play.”
