Ross Wallace was yesterday announced as the winner of the Championship PFA Fans' Player of the Month and Carlos Carvalhal is delighted for the winger.
For Carlos, players like Wallace, who have valuable experience to call upon are a vital part of the puzzle.
He explained: “Ross gives experience. He has been promoted two times before so he gives confidence to the team.
“He is a very nice guy and everyone likes Ross Wallace.”
In his short time at the club, the 30-year-old has had a hugely positive impact on the team, scoring one goal and creating numerous assists.
During the Owls’ 3-2 win over Fulham at Hillsborough, Wallace created all three goals and countless other opportunities in what was a fine afternoon for the ex-Sunderland man.
Carvalhal continued: “Ross thinks when he is playing, he understands football. We have a lot of players, especially midfielders that understand football. That is very useful for us.
“I hope that next month there will be another Sheffield Wednesday player winning the prize.”
