Assessing the strength of Saturday’s visitors Hull City, Carlos Carvalhal believes it will be a big test for his side against players with Premier League experience.

But in terms of the odds, the Owls' head coach says it’s 50-50 which way the game will go because of the home advantage.

Carvalhal is of the mind that the home supporters can without doubt be the difference between winning and losing this fixture, as he explained:

“We have good expectations and because we are at home the game will be 50-50, in my opinion.

“They are not the favourites because we are at Hillsborough and with that extra 10-20% we get from our fans, it can be the difference.

“This game would be 70-30 in favour of Hull but with the extra energy we get from our fans I think it will be more like 50-50.

“But if the fans can raise that and make it 51-49, it will make a big difference. That will provoke more of a reaction from our team and we need that on Saturday, absolutely.”

Ahead of the 12.30pm Sky Sports clash, he continued: “We know what to expect from Hull, we know how they like to play and we are ready to give our answer.

“It’s a good challenge for us.”
