Fernando Forestieri has seen plenty of promise in team mate Lucas Joao.
The duo started their first game together on Saturday as Wednesday drew 1-1 with Hull City and Forestieri has praised the powerful frontman.
The 25-year-old believes it is a partnership that has the potential to flourish throughout the campaign and he said:
“We have a lot of quality and talented players in the squad, like Lucas Joao.
“This was the first game we played together and I feel comfortable with him, we need to help each other and if we can then we will become very strong.
“Lucas has big talent, we need to help him because he is young but he’s knows the scenarios and I like him. He plays very well.”
He continued: “Every single training we need to show the coach who is ready to play on the Saturday, so for me the competition is good.
“Lucas is a big talent, Atdhe Nuhiu is a big talent too and that makes me train even harder.”
