Goosebumps for Hunt as Owls overcome the Gunners

28 October 2015

Jack Hunt says the atmosphere during the Owls’ cup triumph over Arsenal gave the right back goosebumps.

Under the lights and in front of over 35,000 supporters at Hillsborough, the pre-match roar and rendition of 'Hi-Ho Sheffield Wednesday' made the hairs stand up on the back of Hunt’s neck as he explained:

“To see Hillsborough like that was unbelievable. I had goosebumps at the start and the scenes after were brilliant. It’s right up there for me in my career.

“Before kick-off I had goosebumps as the crowd were singing and that is the best I have seen Hillsborough.”

The 24-year-old loanee gave huge credit to the players after the 3-0 victory over the Gunners and firmly believes there is more to come.

He continued: “It was brilliant, we started well and were nice and compact.

“To score three goals and keep a clean sheet against arsenal was amazing. It’s very pleasing to go through to the next round.

“We knew if we had any chance, every player had to be at the top of their game and luckily that happened.

“There is more to come, we all know we want at least a top six finish this year and we’ll see what happens.

“It’s nice to have a nine-game unbeaten run and hopefully that can continue.”
