Kieran Lee says he was delighted to be voted as the Owls’ Player of the Month for September.
The industrious midfield man scooped the award with 28% of the fans’ vote.
And Lee – who could make his 100th appearance for Wednesday this weekend – said:
“It’s always pleasing to win these awards, especially when you’re voted for by the fans.
“I’ve read a lot of nice messages from supporters on Twitter and social media and I’d like to thank everyone for that.”
Throughout Lee’s purple patch in the side, head coach Carlos Carvalhal has praised the midfielder for his performances and the former Manchester United man is keen to kick on.
As Wednesday search for their fourth win on the spin against Preston at Hillsborough on Saturday, Lee continued:
“We all want this winning run to keep going and we believe it can. It’s important that we build on what we’ve achieved so far.
“We’ve seen what a couple of wins can do for everyone at the club, we’re looking up the Championship and making progress in the cup so things are really positive here right now.
“We’ve got a strong squad and a lot of ability so let’s see where we can go.”
